Sundance canyon is located just outside of Camp Verde and is Bear canyons next door neighbor so much that it shares the same parking location. Sundance requires a slightly higher skill set than Bear canyon in regards to a couple minor potholes that could be considered tricky if unfamiliar along with ≈ 180' rap, most of which is free hanging. With that said, Sundance is a great canyon in the Clear Creek area that would be fun any summer day to beat the heat of the valley. Wetsuits should be worn nearly year round, some areas don't ever see much sun and they are cold! Catch Sundance at the right time and you may amaze some hikers who regularly wander to the base of this canyon to soak in the beauty at the bottom of the final rappel.
