The G.R.A.B. 110 was designed to build on the strengths of its predecessor, refining key details while maintaining the rugged durability and usability needed in demanding canyon environments. Whether you're battling the desert southwest or pushing thorough frigid, fast-moving water, this bag is designed to perform.
Its split draw-top closure securely contains your rope while allowing for quick, efficient stuffing that can be critical on those long days when pushing rope is priority. Stopper stitching at the opening keeps the cord lock exposed while also leaving a pocket to neatly tuck away excess drawcord, minimizing snags when navigating thick brush or sending the bag downstream.
To enhance longevity, we’ve eliminated failure-prone hardware—because components breaking due to being thrown off a cliff is a silly problem to have in canyon. Unless you want to tie your bag shut, we had to keep the easy to replace cord lock but if you happen to smash it with one of those half magic half luck throws just reach out.
A rear stuffing loop positions the bag on your waist carabiner, keeping it centered and easy to round out for smooth stuffing while ensuring the top tie-in point presents front and center. The embedded foam not only cushions hard landings but also provides essential flotation when conditions get juicy. It probably depends on the day but its still a bit unclear if the bag or your heart sinks faster while watching a rope disappear below the surface.
Fast drainage is a given, thanks to top-bottom canyon mesh on each side. To ensure it lasts, a reinforced webbing strip along the base acts as a skid plate to withstand the inevitable abuse seen where the two materials meet. A centered base grommet serves to kick out any water trying to overextend its stay while also being large enough for those who prefer slipping their rope through the bottom and tying off to the base webbing.
With grab handles on the top, sides, and base, you won’t find yourself flailing (too much) to snag your bag when it’s floating just out of reach. With any luck you can reach out and discover one of the five GRAB handles floating in your favor.
In a nutshell, the G.R.A.B. 110 is built to handle the worst so you can keep making progress—no matter the conditions you can always Grab Rope And Bail.
